Industry Beans is one of the coolest places I've visited. The trendy staff were professional and incredibly friendly and the menu was impressive.
I enjoyed Industry Beans so much that I visited twice in one day. My first visit was for lunch with my friend A and 30 minutes later, I returned for a pot of tea with J.
The chai is made inhouse and presented in a little glass teapot and cup. It is one of the best chai lattes I've had. The soy milk was creamy and frothy and the chai was subtle with sweet and spicy flavours.
I ordered the pork belly Brioche Burger (pork belly, mayo, tomato, leaves) on gluten free bread instead of a bun. The gluten free bread is also made inhouse. It's a very thick dense bread and wasn't a great match with the burger. It was overpowering and too heavy for this lady diner. I took the top layer of bread off and put it to the side. The pork was a little dry and the whole thing was a bit bland. The vegetable chips were a delicious side. Thin and crisp and a better than hot chips. I didn't love my order and wish I ordered the Avo Smash like the man sitting at the table next to me. Major food envy.
On my second visit, I enjoyed a pot of lemongrass, ginger and something tea. Again presented in a little glass teapot, this time with a timer. Such a cool novelty.
Would I return?
Yes! Loved this little gem.
While I didn't love my food, the menu was interesting and the quality and presentation of food (I did a lot of food gawking while we were waiting) was good. The drinks and staff were what made my visits memorable and won me over.
