I forgot that Sunday was the day a Perth radio station broadcasts lives from The Merrywell. I wouldn't recommend visiting on a Sunday afternoon as it was really noisy and the radio segments were quite disruptive.
We started our afternoon with a drink at The Merrywell. While I had intended to eat the AHAWA award winning steak sandwich, the weather dictated otherwise. Instead we shared a 1/2L Strawberry Fields seasonal jug.
It was really delicious and refreshing however pouring it was a bit tricky. I think the key is to be fast and have napkins on standby to wipe up any dribbles.
By 6pm, we were feeling a bit peckish and decided to venture into Crown to see what was on offer. Eight-Eight Noodle Bar located right in the middle of the casino caught our eye, so we stopped off for an early dinner.
We did 'family style' dining and ordered the Char Kway Teow ($19.80) and Wok Fried Black Pepper Beef ($18.80).

David Nguyen-Luu of Rockpool Bar and Grill Perth won the Mixologist Award at the AHAWA Awards, so we thought we'd head there for a drink.
We were seated at the bar and got to see the bar staff in action. I don't remember what these drinks were but they were both delicious.
